Hertz On Demand 24/7™ Additional Fee Policy For Rentals In The United States And Canada

Hertz On Demand 24/7 is dependent on its customers to follow the rules. Failure to do so adversely impacts subsequent renters and the Hertz On Demand 24/7 service. The following additional fees are meant to enforce and encourage compliance with Hertz On Demand 24/7 rules. They are further described in the Hertz On Demand 24/7 U.S. Membership and Rental Terms and Canadian Membership and Rental Terms.

FUELING FEE: $25 for returning the Car with less than a quarter tank of fuel.

VEHICLE CLEANING FEE: $45 if you leave the Car unfit or unclean, have smoked in the Car, or have allowed non-service animals in the Car outside of their animal carriers, plus the cost of cleaning.

IGNITION KEY REPLACEMENT FEE: $200 if you lose or take the Car's keys and the cost of delivering replacement keys or towing the Car to the nearest maintenance location.

FUEL CARD REPLACEMENT FEE: $50 if you lose or take the fuel card.

PROCESSING FEE FOR CITATIONS: Up to $40 will be charged per ticket or citation incurred during a rental that is processed or paid by Hertz or its designated vendor, American Traffic Solutions.

ADDITIONAL DRIVING FEE: For rentals commencing in the United States, other than van and truck rentals from Lowe's locations, $0.45 for each mile that you drive in excess of 180 miles during the first 24 hours of a rental and each successive 24 hour period during your rental. For van and truck rentals in the United States from Lowe's locations, miles are not included in the rental rate and you will be charged $0.30 for each mile driven during the rental.

PHONE SERVICE FEE: A Phone Service Fee of $3.50 will be applied to reservations made by calling the Customer Care Center. The Phone Service Fee does not apply to reservations of vehicles requiring hand controls.

PLATEPASS®: If PlatePass is used, you will be charged a service fee of $4.95 for each day of your rental, including prior or subsequent days on which the PlatePass service is not used (capped at $24.75 per rental month) plus incurred tolls at the applicable Tolling Authority's highest undiscounted rate.
